LIVE ART EVENTS

The Wahlberg Group is a local real estate team, and we believe in giving back to the communities we serve. We host Long Beach Brush-Off events to benefit local charities and to bring awareness and exposure to the many talented artists in the city.

We currently host two types of events: A fast-paced Live Art Competition with 12 competing artists painting in three 30 minute rounds, and a Live Art Exhibition featuring 6 artists painting live for 90 minutes - which can be held concurrently with another program.

For a competition event: 12 Artists will paint live across three timed rounds. As they work, the audience can get an up-close view of the creative process. At the end of the round, the audience votes for their favorite painting and the top 2 artists move on to the Final Round with a new canvas.

The painters are initially split up into two 30-minute rounds. The top 2 painters from each round as determined by audience vote will paint a second time in the 3rd and Final Round with a fresh canvas. The Final Round has the same rules as the first two rounds. The top voted painter from the Final is the Winner! This is a fast-paced event requiring at least 2.5 hours from start of the first timer to the end of the last round.

For an exhibition event: 6 artists paint live for 90 minutes while a silent auction is happening in real time. Typically we end the silent auction 20 minutes after the paintings are complete. This style of event can be held within another event, such as at the Night Dive event below - Long Beach Brush-Off was one of the featured entertainers that evening.

All art created during the events will be offered in a silent auction with proceeds split equally between the artists and a local charity.
